Film Study is awesome however too often things are imitated and not drilled. Sparring is not the 1st development stage. Floor Drills is Step 1 and those Drills even for pro athletes should be done 3x weekly minimum.
Jiu Jitsu I’d argue is not more dangerous than striking sports. In Jiu Jitsu they practice fundamentals for almost 30 minutes every session. They shrimp from the left and right side. Tumble forward and backwards over both shoulders.
