McGregor Do Not Dumb Yourself Down For Entertainment For Fans

Can Conor McGregor resist the urge to dumb down his ability to think vs Mayweather. There has been so much ignorant talk online by fans, media, and sadly enough boxers/coaches about this fight. McGregor and his team could be in this fight in regards to scoring if they just take their time. Attacking Mayweather’s Jab, not smothering himself, always throwing one extra punch in combinations, and overall being patient no matter what should be their game plan. Everything and anything else is simply not smart and a repeat of 49 other competitions.

Floyd Mayweather is the Grand Master of Chess wait I mean boxing. His patience is a discipline. His patience is the ultimate humility of a Martial Artist. He respects his opponents by taking his time, reading their tendencies, and adjusting second by second throughout competition. This usually frustrates many an opponent and force the opponent to fight how he allows them to fight. So most of his opponents end up having to spazz out to establish any type of positive offense.

Floyd Mayweather vs Saul “Canelo” Alvarez was a matchup I didn’t think was completely in favor of Floyd Mayweather at the time they fought. I had done plenty of homework on Canelo at the time and he wasa really good developing boxing prospect mentally. Add in his strength… However Mayweather as usual knows his best. What did he know? Mayweather knew Big Man Game Formula. He stood his ground and at times backed Canelo up with a presence physically that is FUNdamental to Big Man Game. Canelo I’m sure learned a ton from this fight. Canelo has the smartest team in boxing and I’m sure would make the necessary adjustments to make a possible future fight vs Mayweather much more competitive.

Once again the most complete competitor in boxing puts on complete boxing clinic vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Saul Canelo Alvarez has been putting on these clinics most of his career. In the type of fight most fans call boring, Canelo was playing Chess and often times twelve steps ahead. Much like Floyd Mayweather’s opponents, Chavez ceased throwing punches and being aggressive because Canelo was in complete control of the pace. He controlled the pace with his jab, his counter punching, his defense, and body punching. Canelo, is a complete boxer.
