Floyd Mayweather vs Saul “Canelo” Alvarez was a matchup I didn’t think was completely in favor of Floyd Mayweather at the time they fought. I had done plenty of homework on Canelo at the time and he wasa really good developing boxing prospect mentally. Add in his strength… However Mayweather as usual knows his best. What did he know? Mayweather knew Big Man Game Formula. He stood his ground and at times backed Canelo up with a presence physically that is FUNdamental to Big Man Game. Canelo I’m sure learned a ton from this fight. Canelo has the smartest team in boxing and I’m sure would make the necessary adjustments to make a possible future fight vs Mayweather much more competitive.
Once again the most complete competitor in boxing puts on complete boxing clinic vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Saul Canelo Alvarez has been putting on these clinics most of his career. In the type of fight most fans call boring, Canelo was playing Chess and often times twelve steps ahead. Much like Floyd Mayweather’s opponents, Chavez ceased throwing punches and being aggressive because Canelo was in complete control of the pace. He controlled the pace with his jab, his counter punching, his defense, and body punching. Canelo, is a complete boxer.

Anthony Joshua has been training very professional and developed to be a very good if not great Professional Prize Fighter. His biggest test will come when he takes on Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko has been a very efficient prize fighter. He understood early in his career that he is a very tall man. No need to fight like Mike Tyson. Instead he fights like a throw back Jack Johnson. Limiting his opponents offense with the threat of a very accurate right hand coming down hill like a runaway freight train.
Klitschko lives in the middle of the ring. He is able to do that because a long stiff jab and a great clinch game that limits his opponents to one to two punches at a time. His clinch will come before and or after his offense. It’s his primary defense along with his punching power. Klitschko likes to lull you to sleep with a great feint and hesitation game allowing him to step offline with authority to land right hands or left hooks.
Anthony Joshua Training Like A Professional Athlete in Preparation For Wladamir Klitschko. It’s interesting to see Joshua and his team train like a boxer however also like a professional athlete. Boxers don’t usually do prehab and rehab workouts. Some may do strength but no agility. It seems like he and his camp are covering all bases.
